LSU beat Western Kentucky 48-20 on a rainy Saturday night in Tiger Stadium, extending its season-opening win streak to seven games and setting up a showdown on Nov. 7 against Alabama.

Things to know:

Brandon Harris, for a third straight week, threw for more than 200 yards. He hit a career high with his 286 passing performance on Saturday.

Leonard Fournette had 150 yards on 26 carries, giving him nine straight 100-yard rushing performances. That ties LSU’s record.

LSU’s defense topped Western Kentucky on three fourth-down attempts, and the Tigers scored three touchdowns in the third quarter in a span of less than five minutes. LSU scored after a Jamal Adams interception and after Adams forced a fumble on a kickoff return.
