The Tigers’ new-fangled offense will probably suffer a few growing pains against what is a formidable BYU defense. But LSU will still ground and pound enough to wear the Cougars down, while the LSU defense will make it difficult on BYU to throw and run the ball effectively.

Growing pains will happen. The Tigers are breaking in a brand new offense, first off, and they're replacing as many as seven starters on defense. Mysterious player suspensions could further affect the units, and LSU is missing its best defensive player, Arden Key. Still, speed wins.

The long, long-awaited first look at Matt Canada's offense (the spring game doesn't count) can't come soon enough for LSU fans. While there will be some hiccups the first couple of games, the Tigers have more than enough firepower to dust the Cougars.
