Former NBA and LSU basketball player Shaquille O'Neal said LSU football coach Les Miles should keep his job, but while there is still specuation on his position everyone should remain respectful.

In an ESPN sideline interview during the LSU- Texas A&M matchup on Saturday, O'Neal told ESPN he supports Miles, but does think hearing different reports about Miles' job is in poor taste, saying Miles shouldn't get false updates through different rumors and reports

O'Neal is one of many speaking out on Miles' job. Earlier this week many speculated Miles was on the chopping block after his third-straight loss of the season last week against Arkansas, but both LSU Football and Miles denied the reports.

"Whatever we do, it should be handled professionally. The man shouldn't have to read on the ticket that his job is in jeopardy," O'Neal said. "A lot of people want him to stay. We should show him a lot more respect."
