No night game in New York. LSU and Syracuse will kick off their game next Saturday at 11 a.m.. and it will be televised on ESPN or ABC, the school announced Monday.

The Tigers (1-0) and the Orange (2-0) clash at noon local time on Sept. 26 in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. It will be the second straight day game for LSU after the team played 12 regular season night games last year.

LSU and Syracuse have met only twice in football, both times in bowl games. The Tigers beat the Orange 13-10 in the 1965 Sugar Bowl, then lost to Syracuse 23-10 in the 1989 Hall of Fame Bowl (now the Outback Bowl) in Tampa, Fla.

The No. 13 Tigers host No. 18 Auburn at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Tiger Stadium – a second straight top-25, SEC Western Division clash to open the season.
