LSU held off a late charge for a 65-62 victory against Auburn in its first game on the second day of the SEC tournament at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga.

LSU had an 18-point lead, 57-39, with 11:06 remaining in the game.

LSU (20-10), the No. 6 seed, has a seven-game winning streak. All eight players on the Tigers roster scored.

LSU plays third-seeded Georgia on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Auburn (16-14), the No. 11 seed, has lost eight of its last 11 games.
