South Louisiana football fans needing something to look forward to: Consider college football Week 7: Georgia at LSU.

That's one of the potentially "epic" games on the 2018 college lineup, according to Sports Illustrated, which picked one "best game" and several honorable mentions for each week.

"This will be the first matchup between these SEC elites since 2013, and it should be a doozy," the story by Daniel Rapaport says. "The Bulldogs will enter the season as one of the nation’s top teams, fresh off an appearance in the national championship game.

"The Tigers’ defense has been championship-quality for years, and if (new offensive coordinator Steve) Ensminger can revitalize a sleepy offensive attack, LSU could challenge for the SEC title."

Before that, though, the Tigers have a Week 1 matchup that SI considers an "honorable mention" game to watch: LSU against Miami in the Advocare Classic in Dallas.

"Is Miami here to stay?" the story asks. "An early test against a upper-tier SEC foe is a good way to find out."

Finally, Week 10 vs. Alabama -- another honorable mention -- is likely to be circled on Tiger fans' calendars. SI asks the question fans are dying to answer: "Can the Tigers end a seven-game losing streak to the Tide?"
