Decked out in purple and gold and stood in front of more than 100 incoming LSU freshmen, new basketball coach Will Wade vowed that the soon-to-be students an exciting year — and beyond — in LSU sports.
Wade told the students during STRIPES, a four-day orientation program for incoming students, that the football team will "kick ass" this year. Not stopping there, he said the men's basketball team will go to the final four in four years, when the incoming freshmen are seniors.
"This is my first year, this is most of y'all's first year," he said. "We're gonna grow the program together."
The first basketball game is set for Nov. 10.
