LSU's connection to University of Houston football continues...

Houston will interview the Tigers' former coach, Les Miles, and the Tigers' target for offensive coordinator, Lane Kiffin, according to an ESPN report

Kiffin and Miles are among five candidates who'll reportedly interview after Tom Herman, LSU's main target in its own coaching search, left Houston for the University of Texas.

Earlier this week, according to the Houston Chronicle, Houston Board of Regents chairman and billionaire booster Tilman Fertitta said Miles is on the school's list of head football coaching candidates.

"I think we have interest in him and he has interest in us," Fertitta told the Chronicle.

Miles, arguably LSU's most successful football coach in school history, was fired after losing to Auburn in September and getting off to a 2-2 start in a season with national title expectations.

Kiffin has been widely reported to be LSU coach Ed Orgeron's No. 1 target for the Tigers' new offensive coordinator. A large part of Orgeron's pitch to win the job was his promise to bring in a dynamic coordinator to bring the spread offense to LSU.
