Advocate staff photo by HEATHER MCCLELLAND -- LSU's Josh Gray flies past Sam Houston in attempt to score Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

LSU junior point guard Josh Gray rolled his right ankle early in the second half of a 76-67 victory over Sam Houston State on Saturday night and left the team’s practice facility on crutches.

Gray, who scored the game-winning basket in a 74-73 road upset of then-No. 16 West Virginia on Dec. 4, played only three minutes of the second half before coming down awkwardly on the ankle.
