DESTIN, Fla. — CBS announced a partial schedule of games and key dates for the upcoming season Tuesday, including setting its lone day/night doubleheader for the week of the LSU-Alabama game.

CBS will televise games at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Central time on Nov. 4, which is when LSU plays at Alabama. Games for that date will likely not be selected until Monday, Oct. 23.

CBS has shown the LSU-Alabama game in prime time every year since 2011.

As has been the case in recent years, the schedule of prominent Southeastern Conference games opposite LSU-Alabama isn’t long. The slate of other games paring two SEC teams for that date is: Auburn at Texas A&M, Florida at Missouri, South Carolina at Georgia and Ole Miss at Kentucky.

No other LSU games were announced by CBS, the SEC’s prime television partner. However, the selection of Missouri at Arkansas for Friday, Nov. 24 gives strong indication that LSU’s home finale against Texas A&M will be played Saturday, Nov. 25.

LSU has played on Thanksgiving night at Texas A&M in 2014 and 2016 but has refused to play the Aggies on Thanksgiving day in Tiger Stadium.

CBS will open its slate with TCU at Arkansas at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 9. CBS will also show Tennessee at Florida on Sept. 16 and the Georgia-Florida game Oct. 28 from Jacksonville, Florida.

CBS will also have two daytime doubleheaders on Nov. 11 and Nov. 18 with games at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Central.

The network will have a new play-by-play announcer for SEC games as Brad Nessler replaces the retired Verne Lundquist. Nessler joins analyst Gary Danielson and sideline reporter Allie LaForce.
