LSU volleyball team now 8-0
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The LSU volleyball team took a 25-22, 25-16, 25-20 win against LIU Brooklyn (4-5) to remain unbeaten at 8-0 Saturday afternoon at the Tar Heel Classic in Carmichael Arena.
The sweep is the Tigers’ fifth on the year. The 8-0 start to the season is the first time for the Tigers’ since the 2010 season. LIU Brooklyn fell to 4-5.
“It is a win and we are excited about it," Tigers coach Fran Flory said. "We had plenty of kills. We reduced our hitting errors but still had a few too many. It is nice to have a win but there are concerns out of this match with our defense."
