What to watch: Poché needs a boost before heading into NCAA regionals. The lefty has allowed 24 hits and 12 runs in his past three starts — a combined 18 innings. … Chris Chinea has 11 home runs, all in the past 29 games. He had a single, double and homer in the series opener at South Carolina last weekend and had six hits and six RBIs over the three games. There’s no hotter player on LSU’s roster.

Know your opponent: Auburn is somewhat on the NCAA regional bubble. The Tigers have an RPI of 22 but were just 13-17 in the SEC regular-season schedule. Their top pitcher, Keegan Thompson, is suffering from an elbow injury and might not be available.
