Former LSU football coach Les Miles will join Fox Sports as a college football analyst this season, the network announced Tuesday.

Miles will make his Fox Sports debut during Week 3 of the season for the Nebraska-Northern Illinois game in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Fox Sports also added former Oregon coach Mark Helfrich and former ESPN analyst Danny Kanell to its college football lineup.

Earlier this month, Miles confirmed he had visited Fox. He said at the time that wherever he ends up, he expects to serve both as a studio analyst and a color commentator during games.

Miles led LSU to 114 wins in 11½ seasons, winning the 2007 national championship and Southeastern Conference titles in 2007 and 2011. The university fired him four games into the 2016 season. The school owed him, at the time of his firing, more than $9 million in buyout money.

The former LSU coach will begin his role in the media as a guest analyst during Week 1 on "SEC Nation," the SEC Network's traveling pregame show.

More details to come.
