The third-ranked LSU gymnastics team learned its assignment Monday for the NCAA regionals set for Saturday, April 2.
LSU, which finished third in the Southeastern Conference championships on Saturday, earned a No. 1 seed and will travel to Athens, Ga., for the six-team regional.
LSU (18-4) will be seeking a top-two finish when it competes April 2 at 3 p.m. CDT against No. 10 seed and host Georgia, 15th-seeded Oregon State, Arizona, George Washington University and Michigan State.
The top two finishers from each of the six regionals being held across the country that day will advance to the national semifinals April 15 in Fort Worth, Texas.
The top three teams from the two semifinal sessions will earn a spot in the Super Six finals, which will be held on April 16.
