Orgeron replaced Miles after a 2-2 start, taking on the interim tag and leading LSU to a 5-2 record the rest of the way.
Miles has said he is actively seeking a coaching position of his own, signing on with Trace Armstrong, who also represents soon-to-be Texas head coach Tom Herman. Miles figures to be in the conversation for several openings, and has most recently been linked to the Baylor head coaching job.
Miles must actively seek a new job in order to continue to receive his $9.6 million LSU buyout.
