General Info

What's At Stake

  • Pretty simple: a trip to LSU's 16th SEC tournament championship game. The Tigers are gunning for an 11th league title, the most of any team. A win over Arkansas would surely secure the Tigers a host bid for an NCAA regional. The real question - would a conference tournament title (especially over champ Florida) be enough to thrust the Tigers into a top eight national seed?

Kyle Bouman is set to start Saturday against Arkansas.

What To Watch

  • Bouman's redemption: Remember the last time Kyle Bouman started a game against Arkansas? It didn't go well. The Tigers lost 10-4 and Bouman got rocked in the first inning. He allowed a grand slam in the opening frame of that game. Bouman can prove to coach Paul Mainieri that he can be LSU's No. 3 starter heading into NCAA regionals.

  • Moore more: LSU will be playing against a right-handed starting pitcher. What's that mean? Expect the streaking Tyler Moore in the lineup. Moore has at least one hit in seven straight games, and he's 13 of his last 28 with 17 RBIs, a streak that spans eight games.

Know Your Opponent

  • Arkansas is scraping the barrel of its bullpen. The Hogs, playing their fifth game in five days, is starting a guy who has never started a game. Jackson has pitched 37 innings of relief this year.
