LSU coach Les Miles is “not certain” that defensive ends Deondre Clark and Sione Teuhema will play against Mississippi State, and defensive tackle Mickey Johnson and freshman offensive lineman Chidi Okeke will not play this season.

All four of those players did not dress out for LSU’s scheduled season opener against McNeese State last Saturday. Tuehema and Clark will have to “earn there way there,” Miles said when asked if the two would play this week. The two didn’t dress last week for “performance based” reasons, the coach said.

Okeke and Johnson are ineligible this year. Okeke, a rookie originally from Nigeria, is set to redshirt, Miles said. Miles only said that Johnson would not play this year. Johnson thought about transferring during the off-season but rejoined the team over the summer. He’s a third-stringer who was not expected to play much.

Teuhema is thought of as an immediate backup to Lewis Neal at defensive end. Clark is the third string end behind Teuhema.
