Advocate staff photo by HILARY SCHEINUK -- LSU pitcher Alden Cartwright (32) celebrates the Tigers' 6-3 win over UL-Lafayette in the NCAA Division I Baton Rouge Super Regional with fans, Sunday, June 7, 2015, at LSU's Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field. With this win, the Tigers advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Ne.

Excitement is filling the air round TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, according to KMTV in Omaha, and that has a lot to do with a certain participant in this year’s College World Series: the LSU Tigers.

While Omaha folks don’t want to play favorites, it’s been hard to contain their excitement that “one of Omaha’s team favorites is coming home to play.”

Officials with Omaha’s Baseball Village says having the Tigers back in Omaha is not only exciting for fans but for vendors, as well, predicting that three times as many LSU t-shirts will be sold than any other team.

And then there are the “loud and rowdy” fans who, they say, are sure to up the excitement and atmosphere around TD Ameritrade Park.
