Alex Bregman: Bregman showed off his base-running, hitting and defense on Sunday to end a weekend in which he had five hits in three games. He hit a line drive single that hit near the top of the 30-foot wall in left field at about the 325-foot mark. He helped turn a critical double play, caught a tough popfly to end the game and stole two bases, equaling his total of swiped bags all of last season.

Jake Godfrey: Godfrey, a freshman in his first start away from Alex Box Stadium, retired 11 straight batters at one point, shaking off a 25-pitch first inning. He got out of a sticky bases-loaded jam in the seventh inning. He left the bases full in a one-run game after allowing three singles and issuing a walk. He threw 104 pitches, and his seven innings pitcher was a career high.

Conner Hale: The guy had two more RBIs – he had four during the three days in Houston – and extended a hitting streak to 16 games. He has hit safely in every game this season. He had a hiccup at third that was ruled a hit, but, other than that, he’s settling into the position.

Zac Person: Mr. Eighth Inning. Person is coach Paul Mainieri’s go-to eighth-inning man. He shined again Sunday. retiring three of his four batters and ending the inning with a strikeout. LSU’s bullpen has not allowed a run in 16.2 innings and has allowed just five hits during that span.
