Ed Orgeron said he was going to scour the JUCO ranks to find some talented offensive linemen for next season and he did just that with Badara Traore.

Just about every major program in the country was after the 6-foot-8, 315-pound tackle and LSU got him with just a few weeks before signing day despite a late visit Tennessee. Traore was also offered by Auburn, Texas, Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State and Oklahoma.

LSU has been thin along the line all season thanks to transfers and injuries, so Traore should make a big impact early in Baton Rouge, especially with tackle KJ Malone graduating and the possible departure of junior center Will Clapp to the NFL.

Traore is expected to enroll early.

One of the biggest signings of the class, Traore was a highly sought after JUCO lineman, filling an important role in LSU's recruitment this season at the position. Traore was a late commitment for the Tigers, but as the No. 7 JUCO player, LSU is happy to have him on their side.

What They’re Saying:

“He has everything you’re looking for with a kid in regards to technique and football IQ,” ASA College coach Joe Osovet told 247Sports. “He has all those things along with being 6-8, 315-pounds.”
