FISHERIES NOTICES

STATE/FEDERAL RECREATIONAL RED SNAPPER SEASON: Closed in state & federal waters.

FISHING OPENED/CLOSED seasons: Greater amberjack (30-inch fork length minimum), gray triggerfish (14-inch fork length minimum, 2 per day) & red grouper (20-inch total length minimum, 4-per-day) open in state and federal waters. Gag grouper closure through July 1, 2015. Recreational/commercial non-sandbar large coastal sharks in state waters through 12:01 a.m. April 1; commercial small coastal-sharks open until 80 percent of the federal quota is met; commercial king mackerel season closed in state & federal waters.

Fall INSHORE SHRIMP SEASON: Closed in some state inshore and offshore waters. See Department of Wildlife and Fisheries website (www.wlf.louisiana.gov/fishing/shrimp-seasons) for remaining open waters.
