FISHERIES NOTICES

STATE RECREATIONAL RED SNAPPER SEASON: Open in state waters. Daily limit 2 red snapper, 16 inches minimum length. Anglers required to have fee-free Louisiana Recreational Offshore Landing Permit. Website: www.rolp.wlf.la.gov.

FEDERAL RECREATIONAL Red Snapper Season: Closed in federal waters throughout the Gulf of Mexico.

RECREATIONAL FISHING CLOSURES: Federal & state waters, greater amberjack & gray triggerfish seasons closed for remainder of 2014. Gag grouper closure effective Dec. 3 through July 1, 2015.

Fall INSHORE SHRIMP SEASON: Opened statewide until further notice.

COMMERCIAL KING MACKERAL CLOSURE: Closed in state & federal waters.
