RIDGELAND, Miss. — Jamie Laiche from Gonzales heads into Friday’s final round of the B.A.S.S. Nation Central Divisional in second place and leads the 14-angler Louisiana team after his second-day catch shot him to a 26-pound, 6-ounce total Thursday.

Texas team angler Albert Collins, in with a 27-3 total, leads the field composed of 14-angler state teams from eight states.

Pushing Laiche for Louisiana’s berth for November’s B.A.S.S. Nation Championship the Ouachita River in Monroe are Gonzlaes’ Ryan Lavigne (10th, 19-10) and Prairieville’s David Cavell (11th, 19-9).
