RECREATIONAL FISHING

STATE RED SNAPPER SEASON: Open in state waters for seven-day-a-week season until further Department of Wildlife & Fisheries notice. Two-fish daily limit with 16-inch minimum size.

FEDERAL RED SNAPPER SEASON: Tentatively set June 1-10 for private recreational anglers; 44-day season for charterboats/for-hire operations.

OPEN seasons: Greater amberjack & red grouper in state and federal waters.

CLOSED seasons: Gag grouper closure through July 1, 2015; gray triggerfish for 2015. Recreational non-sandbar large coastal sharks in state waters closed April 1. Immediate closure ordered this week for remainder of 2015 for commercial fishing for large coastal sharks in state and federal waters.
