FISHERIES NOTICES

STATE/FEDERAL RECREATIONAL RED SNAPPER SEASON: Closed in state & federal waters.

RECREATIONAL FISHING CLOSURES/reopening seasons: Greater amberjack (30-inch fork length minimum), gray triggerfish (14-inch fork length minimum, 2 per day) & red grouper (20-inch total length minimum, 4-per-day) reopened Jan. 1 in federal and state waters. Gag grouper closure through July 1, 2015.

RECREATIONAL/COMMERCIAL NON-SANDBAR LARGE COASTAL SHARKS: Reopened Jan. 1, 2015 for all sharks in La. waters through 12:01 a.m. April 1, 2015 (closure through June 30.) Commercial small coastal-sharks take reopened in state waters Jan. 1 and will be open until 80 percent of the federal quota is met.

Fall INSHORE SHRIMP SEASON: Closed in some state inshore and offshore waters. See Department of Wildlife and Fisheries website (www.wlf.louisiana.gov/fishing/shrimp-seasons) for remaining open waters.

COMMERCIAL KING MACKERAL: Closed in state & federal waters.
