OPEN SEASONS: Recreational red snapper in state waters out to nine miles; recreational greater amberjack, gray triggerfish & red grouper seasons until further notice. Notes: Greater amberjack minimum-size limit increased to 34 inches (fork length) & red grouper closure through March 31 in waters deeper than 20 fathoms.


FALL INSHORE SHRIMP SEASON: Closed in all state inside waters and state outside waters to a distance of 3 nautical miles. Exceptions: Open waters of Breton and Chandeleur Sounds, state outside waters east of Caillou Boca and west of Freshwater Bayou Canal, and fishery jurisdiction waters claimed by Louisiana beyond the three nautical mile closure zone.
