Youngsters ages 10-15 can register to attend a June 9-12 Kids Fishing Day Camp set for the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries’ Woodworth Outdoor Education Center, 661 Robinson Bridge Rd. in Woodworth, a community south of Alexandria.

There is a 20-camper limit. The $75 fee includes lunch, a rod and reel and “stocked” tackle box. Daily sessions will run 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Staffed by LDWF education staff and volunteers, the camp will focus on fishing tackle, fish identification, boating safety, cast netting, kayak fishing and preparing fish. and how to clean the catch and much more.
