There is no bag limit on Eurasian collared-doves nor ringed turtle-doves when hunters leave a fully feathered wing and head on the bird. Fully dressed Eurasian-collared and ringed turtle-doves must be included in the daily bag.

Daily limit is 6. Possession limit 18. The daily bag limit can include no more than four mallards of which only two can be mallard hens, 3 scaup (dos gris), 3 wood ducks, 2 redhead ducks, 2 pintails, 2 canvasbacks, 1 mottled duck, 1 canvasback and 1 black duck.
Same dates as duck season. Merganser daily limit is 5, of which only 2 can be hooded mergansers. Coots (poule d’eau) daily limit is 15. Possession limit is three times the daily limit. The take of these species is in addition to the daily duck limit.

One-half hour before sunrise to sunset on all species, except noon to sunset Sept. 5, the opening day of the dove season on selected wildlife management areas and state-leased public hunts. Hours are extended to one-half hour after sunset during Conservation Order seasons.
WHAT YOU NEED
•Basic Hunting License
•Waterfowl hunters 16 and older need a Federal Waterfowl Stamp. Note that the federal stamp increased from $15 to $25 this year.
•A Louisiana Waterfowl Stamp is required for resident hunters ages 16-59 and all nonresidents 16-and-older (including special teal season)
•A no-fee Harvest Information Program (HIP) certificate is required to hunt all migratory birds & waterfowl.
