Southern added 18 new members to its Hall of Fame class Friday evening, and they were all honored on the field during Southern's 26-10 win against Texas Southern Saturday.

The inductees were honored in a ceremony Friday night at the Belle of Baton Rouge, and a reception was held in their honor Saturday afternoon before the football game.

They represented four sports, and two honorary members were also honored.

Southern's baseball and football programs each had three alumni honored, with Jason Anderson, Minister William Andrew Bates and Darren Clark earning distinction from baseball and John Forman, John Wesley Sr. and John Wesley Jr. earning honors from the football team.

The golf team put two players into the hall, in Jerry Butler and Charles Edward Hudson earning distinction.
