MONROE — The Louisiana-Monroe soccer team continues a three-match homestand when Southern visits at 1 p.m. Sunday.
ULM (1-1-1) fell 4-2 to Northwestern State on Tuesday, with freshman forward Taylor Bonetti and sophomore midfielder Taylor Epperson each scoring goals, while Southern (0-1-0) lost its season opener 5-1 at South Alabama on Tuesday.
Southern struck for an early goal from Rekeia Gallien in the second minute but were outshot 30-2 in the match.
ULM and Southern will be meeting for the first time since 2007, when the Warhawks claimed a 2-0 victory in Baton Rouge. The Warhawks also claimed a 6-1 victory in Monroe during the 2006 season.
ULM wraps up its homestand at 4 p.m. Friday against McNeese State.
