“American Idol,” the once-blockbuster singing contest that has seen its audience dwindle, will return next year for its 15th and final season with returning judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr., Fox said Monday.

“Idol” launched the careers of a number of singing stars, notably Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson, but we also remember those Louisiana singers who captured our attention and kept us entertained (and voting) for the past 14 years.

From this season’s Top 6 finisher Quentin Alexander, to 2014’s Samantha Calmes, Megan Miller and Ben Boone, to 2013’s Breanna Steer and Brandy Hotard, to 2012 Top 3 finalist Josh Ledet, and many more, Louisiana’s singing talent has been well-represented in 14 years of “American Idol.”
