A flash flood warning is in effect for Baton Rouge and New Orleans through 7 p.m. Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service, rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is possible tomorrow, and due to the already saturated soil, flooding could occur very quickly. The flooding watch encompasses most of Southeast Louisiana and Mississippi.
Forecasts predict a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight, and the chance of rain persists until Tuesday night.
The final day of New Orleans Jazz Fest is currently scheduled to go on, although the festival was cut short at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday due to the severe weather and flooding. Tickets from Saturday will be honored Sunday.
Stay tuned for updates.
