COCODRIE (AP) — A popular restaurant sustained severe damage in a fire early Friday.
The Courier reports the fire at Harbor Light, at the southern end of Louisiana Highway 56, was reported shortly before 1:30 a.m.
Little Caillou Fire Chief Marty Thibodeaux said damage was extensive.
One person sleeping in a rental room on the property but escaped unharmed, Thibodeaux said.
Strong winds fanned the flames, hampering firefighters, Thibodeaux said.
About 50 firefighters from Montegut, Bourg, Bayou Blue, Coteau, Grand Caillou and Village East were called to the scene.
The fire was out around dawn. Its cause is under investigation.
