The LSU Tiger Marching Band’s videographer, Moe Athmann, this week takes us on a journey through the band’s weekly preparation for a football game.
This week’s worth of rehearsals is particularly interesting with Tiger Band Director Roy King’s constant reminders to the students to hydrate themselves in the days leading to the LSU Tigers’ game against Auburn. Temperatures hit more than 100 degrees inside the stadium, and band members were dressed in their wool uniforms.
Though the video doesn’t show it, the flow of bottled water through the band was a constant during the game.
Viewers will see what goes into developing the band’s halftime show and the things that go into getting this 325-piece unit to and from the stadium.
The band will appear next at the Tigers’ game against Eastern Michigan on Oct. 3 in Tiger Stadium.
