Advocate staff photo by TRAVIS SPRADLING -- LSU offensive tackle La'El Collins congratulatesrunning back Terrence Magee (18) after Magee's third-quarter touchdown run against Kentucky.

Former LSU offensive lineman La'el Collins wrote an NFL draft diary for The USA Today on Wednesday. Collins talked about the entire combine process, which includes the workouts, meeting the NFL teams and doing all kinds of tests.

Collins said one question on a test asked if he would rather be a cat or a dog.

Should he get selected in the first round of the upcoming NFL draft as expected, Collins would be the first Tigers lineman taken in the first round since Alan Faneca in 1998. Collins, who has experience playing at guard and tackle, said he prefers playing tackle because he's "out on the island" and loves the one-on-one matchup.

Collins played left tackle last year at LSU and said NFL teams have asked him about his toughts playing up and down the line.
