Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for president, will be campaigning in Baton Rouge next month.
According to Clinton’s campaign team, she plans to visit Louisiana to build support for her campaign and deepen her volunteer base when she visits Sept. 21. She’ll also attend a fundraiser.
Further details were not immediately available but are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, another Democrat in the race, recently held events in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
Louisiana voters will head to the polls March 5 to vote in the presidential primaries.
On the GOP side, Gov. Bobby Jindal faces 16 other Republicans for the nomination.
