CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Former Louisiana Gov. Buddy Roemer is bringing his campaign for the presidency to South Carolina.

Roemer is scheduled to speak Monday at a town hall campaign event at the College of Charleston. He’s expected to hold a meet-and-greet with students, faculty and staff afterward.

Roemer is speaking as part of the Department of Communications’ Bully Pulpit series at the college, which in the past has hosted a number of presidential candidates.

Roemer is campaigning in the state in advance of South Carolina’s January GOP primary, which is the first in the South.
