Two penguins at the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas celebrated their 22nd Valentine’s Day together this weekend.
Though most African blackfooted penguins mate for life, not all couples are as lucky as Kohl and Zelda, the aquarium said.
“We’ve seen our share of penguin heartbreak, infidelity and sometimes joyful reunion here in our colony,” Audubon senior aviculturist Tom Dyer said. “Kohl and Zelda, however, are spending their 22nd Valentine’s Day together. They are Audubon’s sweethearts.”
Kohl and Zelda celebrated their love with a fancy fish dinner at the aquarium.
