ART FOR ARTS' SAKE: The Magazine Street Business Association and the Contemporary Arts Center have postponed their Arts For Arts' Sake gallery openings and street parties until further notice. The CAC, 900 Camp St., will be closed Saturday and Sunday. 

CITY PARK: All attractions and buildings in City Park will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

FALL GARDEN FESTIVAL: The City Park Fall Garden Festival in the Botanical Gardens, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, has been called off.

BEIGNET FESTIVAL: The Beignet Festival, planned for Saturday in City Park, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2.

GENTILLY FEST: Gentilly Fest, the 10th anniversary neighborhood celebration in Pontchartrain Park, will go on as scheduled from 8-10 p.m. Friday, but will be canceled Saturday and Sunday.

OKTOBERFEST: Oktoberfest has canceled its activities on Saturday. It will go on as scheduled from 4-11 p.m. on Friday at the Deutsches Haus’ new property, 1700 Moss St. on Bayou St. John.

CIRQUE DE CUISINE: A tour of luxury kitchens in the French Quarter scheduled for Sunday has been postponed one week due to Tropical Storm Nate, organizers said. Cirque de Cuisine, A Kitchen Tour, has been rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 15.

HISTORIC NEW ORLEANS COLLECTION: The Historic New Orleans Collection has shut down for the weekend. The collection and offices are closing both of their French Quarter locations, 533 Royal St. and 400-410 Chartes St., beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, and will remain closed Saturday, Oct. 7, and Sunday, Oct. 8.

"CHICAGO": The Jefferson Performing Arts Center has canceled its Saturday and Sunday performances of the musical “Chicago.” Friday’s performance will go on as scheduled. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday can be exchanged for tickets to future showings of “Chicago.”

NICKEL-A-DANCE: Sunday’s Nickel-A-Dance at The Maison has been postponed until Sunday, Nov. 5.. Don Vappie and the Creole Jazz Sextet will perform.

ST. AUG HOMECOMING: The kickoff of the St. Augustine High School homecoming football game has been moved up from 2:30 p.m. on Saturday until 11 a.m. 

SNUG HARBOR: Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro will be closed Saturday and Sunday. The Hazelnuts, who were to perform at Snug Harbor on Saturday and at the Jewish Community on Sunday, will perform at 7 p.m. Monday at the JCC, 5342 St. Charles Ave. Admission is free.

GRAFFITI CLEANUP: The French Quarter Business Association’s Graffiti Cleanup planned for Saturday has been canceled.

UNIVERSITY OF HOLY CROSS: The University of Holy Cross has canceled all classes and events for Saturday.

'FUN HOME': Southern Rep has canceled its sold-out Saturday night and Sunday afternoon performances of “Fun Home” at NOCCA. Friday’s show will go on as scheduled. Ticket holders should contact the box office at (504) 522-6545 to exchange tickets for a show at a later date.

AUDUBON INSTITUTE: The Audubon Nature Institute’s zoo, aquarium and insectarium will all be closed on Saturday. Check http://audubonnatureinstitute.org/ for information on Sunday.

NEW ORLEANS OPERA SUNDAY: The Sunday matinee of "Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci" has been canceled. Friday night's production will go on. Sunday tickets will be honored on Friday as space is available.
