“The Best Things In Life” was the theme of the bal masque presented by the Jugs Social Club’s Krewe of NOMTOC, or “New Orleans’ Most Talked of Club,” last evening in La Nouvelle Orleans Ballroom of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Reigning as Queen NOMTOC XLVI was Miss Jada Monét Pierre, daughter of Mr. Orlandez L. Pierre Sr. and Mrs. Carla Pierre. The monarch greeted her subjects in a royal blue velvet gown featuring a bodice adorned with silver trim and iridescent aurora borealis crystal stones. The trumpet skirt was designed with silver iridescent lattice work imported from Italy. Her collar bore royal blue and white plumes and a shell design of appliques, rhinestones and silver sequins. Her majesty’s 12-foot mantle featured wide sequin braiding and a silver queen’s crown. Her crown was adorned with imported aurora borealis rhinestones and circular stones, the hue echoed in the elaborate stonework of her scepter.

His majesty the king, Dr. Philip W. Lundy, carried a scepter and wore a crown and costume complementing his queen’s. His mantle featuring rhinestone appliques, spotted rhinestones, crystal stones and silver sequins.

Making their formal bows to society as members of the court were Misses Bria A. Aubert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Aubert Sr.; Amyriah Nyjel Campbell, daughter of Corey and Kenya Campbell; Diamond Alexis Cummings, daughter of Dexter Cummings and Kim McGhee-Cummings; Kiersten Nicole Dorsey, daughter of Kirby and Angela Dorsey; Courtney Adele Edwards, daughter of Mr. Trevon Feloss and Ms. Nicole Edwards; Trenalyn Dariell Mackey, daughter of Trent and Sinderlyn Mackey; Kirsten Maystique Murry, daughter of Maychelle Cooper Murry; Kayla Angelle Roland, daughter of Marlon and Lori Holmes; Katelyn Ciara Small, daughter of the Rev.
