“A GARDEN DISTRICT CHRISTMAS CONCERT”: 4 a.m., Church of Our Lady of Good Counse, 1307 Louisiana Ave. It will be the official reopening of the newly restored historic church, in the presence of the Most Reverend Gregory M. Aymond, Archbishop of New Orleans.
KIRK FRANKLIN PRESENTS GOSPEL BRUNCH AT HOUSE OF BLUES (NOLA): 10 a.m., House of Blues, 225 Decatur St., Kirk Franklin’s hand-picked performers showcasing contemporary music and new cuisine.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the IHOBF, providing arts and music support to underserved youth.

SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS: 7:30 p.m., St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 6017 Camphor St. A Christmas concert featuring the New Orleans Civic Symphony, St. Matt’s Chancel Choir, organist Dr. Philip Harmelink , and an appearance by the bell choir and children’s choir. Concert is free and open to the public. Free nursery provided.
LIVING NATIVITY: 6 p.m., Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 1401 Simon Bolivar Ave. All are invited to view an annual presentation of the birth of Jesus with the church’s living Nativity scene and sing Christmas carols.
