The New Orleans Chapter of Hadassah will host its “Mad Hatter Tea Party” champagne jazz brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters in City Park.

There will be food, refreshments, music by the Or Shavaly Trio and an auction.

Master of ceremony is Randall Feldman, retired president and general manager of WYES in New Orleans.

Guests are encouraged to wear festive hats to the event. Event chairwoman is Rachel Blackman Frank and co-chairs Rachael Kansas Feder and Carrie Pailet.

Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is one of the largest and oldest volunteer organizations in the United States. Hadassah’s pace-setting research and discoveries into the treatment of ALS, breast cancer, and heart disease and education are improving women’s life throughout the world.

Proceeds from the event will go to medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem.

It will also honor the memory of longtime Hadassah supporter Libbye Katz Gordon.
