The Krewe of Thoth reveled at its 68th annual Carnival ball Saturday in the Pontchartrain Center with a pageant titled “Thoth Says…Express Yourself.”

The theme was reflected in a tableau in which the members of the krewe represented various expressions and idioms of speech. The ornate set depicted a royal drawing room — a fitting setting for the spectacular affair.

Reigning as queen was Miss Elizabeth Grace Noya, daughter of Mr. Keith T. Noya and stepdaughter and daughter of Mr. Istvan and Pamela Noya Molnar.

The queen wore a sheath gown of white imported silk, trimmed in silver and Austrian rhinestones. It featured rhinestone- and silver-beaded appliques with dangling beaded fringe. The captain, who represented the power of language, wore a traditional-style tunic of white silk trimmed in rhinestones. The front was accented with rhinestone applique designs. His floor-length cape featured a stand-up collar adorned in Austrian-stone designs. A traditional rhinestone dome with fantasia plumes completed his attire.
