Swirling lights in a darkened, tented ballroom heralded the opening of the Grand Ball of Osiris, celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of the realm. The bal masque and the queen’s supper were held Saturday evening at the New Orleans Country Club.

The setting was staged as the magnificent throne room of the Palace of the Sun overlooking the Pyramids, the Sphinx and the sands of the Egyptian desert.
