The New Orleans Healing Center, 2372 St. Claude Avenue in Faubourg Marigny, will be the site of the sixth annual NOLA Veggie Fest on Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11.
The event is billed as a “celebration of healthy and delicious vegetable-based cuisine” and will feature food vendors, restaurants, speakers, cooking demonstrations and live entertainment.
The NOLA Veggie Fest is a project of the Humane Society of Louisiana, coordinated with the support of volunteers from the New Orleans Vegetarian Meetup Group.
“The Humane Society of Louisiana has been promoting nonviolence and compassion for all creatures, including farm animals, for more than 25 years,” said Jeff Dorson, executive director and founder. “We invite everyone to come out and indulge in some seriously incredible food that just happens to be healthy.”
The fest runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10.
