The Mystic Knights of Adonis presented their annual tableau Saturday in the Mardi Gras Ballroom of the Best Western Landmark Hotel in Metairie. The ballroom was the setting for the krewe to present “Adonis Short ’N’ Sweet.”

Reigning as Queen Adonis XVII was Ms. Rachel Marie LeBlanc.

Maids in the Adonis court were Misses Nicole Elizabeth and Emily Rose Knight, representing “Sugar Shack” and “Candy Man,” respectively, daughters of Mr. Gregory Knight and Ms. Donna V. Knight; Victoria Lee Foltmer Lutz, representing “Shortening Bread,” granddaughter of Mr. Joseph Petty and Ms. Lorraine Foltmer Petty, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jude Gattuso; and Miss Mckaela Maria Mesa, representing “Sugar, Sugar,” daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ricardo Mesa.

Reigning as Adonis XVII was Mr. Derek Daniel St. Amant Sr.

Page to their majesties was Miss Isabella Delene Dimak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Dimak.

The queen wore a gown of imported gold and silver satin brocade accented with pleated, puffed white satin sleeves. It was accented with clear Austrian crystals. The gown was embellished with metallic silver braid and rhinestones, trimmed with crystal and gold beaded lace, with a collar embellished with Austrian crystals and fleurs de lis. Her majesty’s crown featured a silver fleur de lis embellished with crystals. She wore the traditional Adonis Medici collar of white lace, bugle beads and Austrian crystals, accented with silver and gold appliqués. The Adonis mantle depicting the krewe’s crest, made of white satin, gold lame, silver and gold appliqués and embellished with Austrian crystals, completed the ensemble.

Adonis XVII wore a tunic of imported silver and gold satin brocade accented with pleated puffed white satin sleeves. The tunic was embellished with metallic gold braid and rhinestones, trimmed with crystal, gold and silver beaded lace, with a collar embellished with Austrian crystals and fleur de lis. His majesty wore the traditional Adonis Medici collar of white lace, bugle beads and Austrian crystals, accented with silver and gold appliqués. His majesty’s crown was made of silver fleur de lis embellished with crystals. He wore the traditional Adonis mantle depicting the Adonis crest.

Adonis’ officers were presented in traditional style.
