Registration is open for the Regional Dance America/Southwest Fall Workshop scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Dancers’ Workshop, 10745 Linkwood Court.
This all-day intensive, hosted by the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre, will provide dancers from throughout the region with the opportunity to train under the direction of the workshop’s regional artistic directors Mary Beth Arrington, of City Ballet of Houston; Cristina Munro, of Corpus Christi Ballet; Carol Anglin, of Louisiana Dance Theatre; and Susan Clark, of Midland Festival Ballet.
The workshop will include instruction in the areas of ballet, pointe, character and modern dance. Check-in begins at 9 a.m., and the final class ends at 3:15 p.m. Dancers should bring a bag lunch.
Registration is open to all intermediate dancers, ages 12 to 14, and advanced dancers, age 15 and older. Registration is $75 for all four classes. If available, individual classes may be reserved at $25 each on the day of the workshop.
