Inventors, builders and artists get ready — the second annual New Orleans Mini Maker Faire is coming in March. Presentations are needed by Feb. 1.
The New Orleans Mini Maker Faire is a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness. Any group or individual interested in presenting a project, activity or performance should complete the application at nolamakerfaire.com/callformakers.
“Makers” range from technology enthusiasts to crafters, homesteaders to scientists and even garage tinkerers.
The event is a satellite of the original Maker Faire held in California nine years ago. It has grown to a 900-maker event. The New York counterpart, only 4 years old, has grown to 600 makers. New Orleans is one of the mini faires being produced around the globe.
The Bricolage Academy will sponsor and benefit from the event.
The event will be March 7 at the Lavin-Bernick Center at Tulane University.
