A video presentation and program to discuss the newly published book “Rebbe: The Life and Teachings of Menachem M. Schneerson, the Most Influential Rabbi in Modern History” will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, at the Btesh Family Chabad House, 7037 Freret St., New Orleans.

The guest speaker will be Rabbi Yossi Lew of Atlanta.

The 640-page book by Joseph Telushkin is described by its publisher, Harper Collins, as “the definitive guide to understanding one of the most vital, intriguing figures of the last centuries.”

The 20th anniversary of the Schneerson’s death is July 1. He was the seventh leader in the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.

On July 8 at 6:30 p.m., Rabbi Yossie Nemes, director of Chabad Jewish Center in Metairie, and Rabbi Mendel Rivkin of Chabad Uptown will lead a discussion of the book at Barnes & Noble, 3721 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie.
