In the final act of Voodoo Fest, The Killers made sure to pay tribute to a late New Orleans legend.

Before playing Fats Domino’s "Ain’t That a Shame," frontman Brandon Flowers talked about losing another of the "founding fathers" of rock and roll.

Domino passed away earlier this week at the age of 89. His death spurred reaction and tributes from artists and performers almost immediately.

Flowers also recalled one his “fondest memories”: Riding in a car with his father when he was a kid, with the radio tuned to the oldies.

"And when Fats Domino came on, we always turned it up," he said, before launching into the song.

He was joined by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
